Parkview Estate
Parkview Estate is a luxurious suburb of Ikoyi in Lagos. It is bordered by Gerrard Road and Banana Island. It used to be one of the most expensive housing development in Africa, in between 2007-2009, before Banana Island was built which established its dominance as a superior housing development society.
The estate is mainly residential consisting of semi-detached duplexes, fully detached houses, terraces, townhouses, penthouses, and bungalows; Houses in the estate are built individually by private developers, landowners and sold out to the public. There are also private businesses, schools, luxury hotels, and guesthouses.
Parkview Estate was designed to suit a certain class of people consisting of well-respected high class/influential people- the High-earning members of the society, business moguls, company CEOs/MDs, expatriates, and politicians.
The estate has a gated entrance and exit with security men. Non-residents are not allowed into the estate until they have been cleared by their hosts but because of the presence of many businesses, hotels, schools, security is not very stringent during business hours.
A five-bedroom detached duplex goes for N300 million naira to about N350 million naira and plots of land averaged around N270 000 naira per square meter
