1. The C/O before you buy it must be in the Seller’s name alone before he has the right to sell it.
If you are buying in Lagos, it is adviceable that you go and confirm in Alausa first that the c?o is genuine because they have the records of everyone who has a C/O
2. After you buy the plot of land, you are not entitled to get a C/O in your name but a Governors consent.
The C/O is only given to one Purchaser and for every other subsequent transaction of sale of that property, you get a Governor’s consent.
